Vangelis would be jealous
Pads are normally used in a support role because of their often muted far out nature. It is tricky to give pads an overly prominent part, let alone the prime focus of a piece if you don't want your work to be too out of focus, dreamy and somewhat boring. These four tracks manages to retain reasonable focus and interest with something of the feel of a live improvised performance.
Spring has the sweet hopeful feel of warmth accompanied by rain in the background, the track was clearly intended to grab attention. Winter has some harsh sounds, and the theme is carried well by them. Autumn is somewhat pensive, a very subdued track. But Summer fails a bit to deliver what the other tracks would have led you to expect, perhaps the piano used in the beginning and end could have helped throughout the track.
